Description
Originally drawn in 1987, this drawing is an attempt to capture something of the lagniappe and laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good times roll) of South Louisiana, where I was living at the time. “Good food, good friends, good music and good times” was the message of this piece and to prove it, the bearded fellow behind the bar and next to the waitress is me, the clean-shaven guy on the other side of the waitress is my friend Dave and the guy in the shades all the way down on the other end of the bar is my buddy Stick. The elderly gentleman in the foreground is completely ficticious and does not resemble anyone living or dead. Plus, he stuck me with the check.
